MCM enamel on copper (?) plate, any idea of maker?

Hi all! Picked up this plate/dish (10.5"W) at auction recently. It looks mid-century to me, enamel on copper? It's definitely metal. I'm wondering if you could help with possible artist/maker? It doesn't appear to be signed anywhere unfortunately, maybe it had a sticker at some point. Any help appreciated, thanks!

 

100% Mid-century.

Enamel on something. Copper is likely, but I don't have it in hand.
Hopefully someone finds the maker.

I could be wrong, but I think this is a more modern piece. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Interesting! I wouldn't have considered recent, have you seen modern pieces like this before? I like it too

 

By recent, like 1990s, or maybe an artisan piece. I wouldn't bet the house on my opinion, but the colors, the mustard yellow with the pink... just had me questioning MCM a bit.

Just noticed it is a wall piece, with the small loop and jute rope for hanging.

I haven't had modern pieces like it, but I've had a lot of MCM pieces.

It's either older or a nod to older, either way, stunning.

 

As a youth I lived briefly with an aunt who was an avid an' skilled enameled copper artist. I was never artsy enough to produce anything worthy of second glance...but she taught me to really see things. That plate seems to display several fairly advanced technical details in its design an' execution, perhaps including multiple firings. If you can somehow determine the artist or studio of origin, it may prove to be a significant piece...Good Luck!
