Featured Minton's majolica or not?

    7" tall seashell bearing impressed M. From a recent auction.

    But is the M enough to indicate it is from Mintons?

    Ive not come across a single impressed M Minton mark before. I can't find one either. Not to say it isn't a really nice piece though.

    Googling around seemed to be more confusing. I think one site said they used M sometimes but I dont think Ive seen any examples. The font style does seem reminiscent of them but probably many other UK late 19th cent makers.

    There is this one but it is accompanied by another two lines and the blurb says that it is always in overglaze blue enamel.
