I found this sweet little pin at a sale last week for a few dollars. It has a small amethyst and pearl. No markings other than the 14k. I think it is Art Deco?
It’s a bit cloudy today. Sorry for the poor lighting. IMG_0582-compressed.jpeg

    A bit earlier, I'd think.

Art Nouveau-ish, Belle Epoque. These weren't used any more, at least not much, by the time Deco rolled around.

Get hold of a stickpin clutch and wear it!

Ha! I had to look up stick pin clutch too. I never wear my stick pins. I wear only casual clothing. I just now started wearing my brooches on my heavy winter sweaters. But we don't have much winter weather around here, so those rarely get worn.:(

The pointy bits on the old pins tend to tear holes in modern fabrics. Older ones tended to be a looser weave. I wear mine on jackets and blazers.

I have bought costume stick pins cheap just to get the clutches for my better stick pins. I did that for my diamond stick pin.

There have been times I've bought crappy pins for a really well-made clutch. It was worth more than the pin it was on.

Of Course! That makes so much sense. I will definitely do that.

When you find a cluch with a grabbing mechanism and a 1906 patent date on a 1977 goldtone initial pin for $2.99 it's a no-brainer.
