Luxford Bone China

    Hi everyone,
    I came across a cup and saucer bearing the Luxford Bone China Bacsktamp. It states that it was made in England, but I cant find any info on this pottery company. I am trying more specifically to know the years of operation of the pottery. Any clue?

    Made in England indicates a 20th century date.

    Luxford is the pattern name. I believe that's Crown Staffordshire, but a photo of the whole thing would help.

    I see a lot of this sort of item in the U.K. cshops, mostly a difficult sell, even for a full tea set. There was a time waxes and wicks were put in them to make a candles.

    Thanks for the input! I don't think I'll buy it, I was just curious about it's origins since I never heard about Luxford.
