Help with signature on cool, surreal? horse painting + a S America revolt poster?

Hi,
I found these yesterday while at a local thrift store.
The horses have a artist's signature as surreal as the painting! Can anyone tell who it is?
One thing that made .e think it might be a good one is the unusual little angle on each corner to keep it off a wall when hanging.

On the poster, I googled image searched & found it means something like north is south & is some kind of South or central america protest? -- but I could only find it on Facebook? Is it important or just a decorative piece?
