Just a WAG that it's a heavily stylized FL. The circles form arms of the F and the base arm of the L.

    That's what I read to. And 1980s-ish.

I also think it's FL, and it looks familiar. I know I've seen this type of letters before.

Does look familiar. And I think I was too late re date. Perhaps as early as 1960s.

I tried finding it here https://www.wipo.int/en/web/trademarks but no luck :(
It could still be one of the brands they mention there, but they don't show logos with an expired registration

What part of the world did you find it in?

So it's most likely going to be a European company. A corporate gift. Sterling or plate? (I'm seeing it in both.)

Why don't you search here? Submit it too. The domain holder may recognize it or be interested in seeing it.

    Searched, but not found.
And the submit form is not to ask questions, but to submit logos with the brand name, and add it to their database :(

I saw that some Christofle Napoleon bottle openers also have the "coll. Gallia" mark. That mark was used from c.1935-c.1975 (https://www.silvercollection.it/ASCASGALLIAMARKS.html). Mine doesn't have that mark, so this could be a later edition.
The black you see in the photos is dirt ... err..... patina. I still need to clean it up a bit more, but the opener's already looking better than in the pics I posted.
