We can't really do "valuations" here (since we are a worldwide site and the availability and desirability of any given item can vary greatly from place to place) but here are some details that might help you to search what a platter like this might go for in your area. (Some might also call this a tray.)

Your platter is a nice example of Walker & Hall silverplate from the late 1930's. The page in the following link shows the very detailed instructions for deciphering Walker and Hall "date indicators" - flag shape and shield type being the keys. Cutting to the chase, your shield is type 4, used between about 1930 and 1950. Note that an example with a capital G was found to have been engraved with date in 1936, so one might assume that your H would imply 1937 (or so.)

Size and condition are also important in comparing your item to others that are being offered for sale or have been sold.

 

I have similar trays in sterling silver that I paid metal value for. In England that might fetch £10 - £20. Silverplate is not popular. Unless it is really remarkable.

 

Around here they have a hard time giving it away, unless it's really elaborate Victorian work.
