Bronze Ding Vessel

Hi all,

Would love your opinion on this..

I presume that its reproduction but my problem is that I cant tell the difference between this and actual ding vessels that have sold at auction for massive sums like this one:

So I just want to make sure that it isnt before I sell it as a more modern repo

 

Yes, it is, but a very nice one.

That is because they don't show the most telling aspect, which makes it confusing.
Genuine archaic bronzes have very thin walls. The handles can look chunky, but are often hollow.
The thick walls on your vessel are the main giveaway.
Another giveaway is the fact that the bronze on yours doesn't have that beautiful old patina, the subtle range of colours that makes the old ones 'come alive'.
