This is ~13/16" from loop to wingtip, ~9/16" beak to tail; weight is 1.7 gm. Beneath the blue enamel are an eye, an' many marks outlining feathers; there's a bit of red enamel at the throat an' lower wing. It looks like a Swallow, I think. Wells worked from 1922 'til 1978, when they were absorbed into another maker.

My lady doesn't wear charm bracelets, an' usually doesn't prefer gold over silver, but I'll get a jump ring attached; she'll have an appropriate chain, allowing her to wear it as a pendant...I hope. It'll be one of the gifts for her 80th BD, in August. Thanks for lookin'!

Very sweet, and a lovely gift. That cobalt blue is beautiful and makes it really stand out.
The enamel is a bit too vulnerable to be worn on a charm bracelet, and it will look much better on its own.

It definitely needs a simple bail. It would make a great necklace.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

It looks like a bluebird to me... as mentioned in your subject line, @wlwhittier ! The wing and tail feathers on swallows are longer. It is very cute!

You're right, Fig...a Swallow's tail is a lot sharper, longer!
