Help identify this glass bottle

    Hi, found this lovely bottle and wanted to know its origin. I think the metal might be silver and there is no top. Many thanks. red bottle.jpg

    The bottle looks Bohemian, but the glassies will give you a much better answer.
    I was looking at the metal, it looks like there are silvermarks on it. Could you post a close up?

    Looks like a perfume bottle & since I do not see threads inside the neck, I will assume it originally had a dauber.

    I agree with AJ that the bottle is likely Bohemian ruby cut to clear.

    Polish it up and the marks should be easier to see :)

    Bohemian ruby cut to clear it is. It would have had an internal small stopper, not a dauber, and a silver cap which fitted over stopper and rim. Late 19th.

    I saw one of these in a shop this week and it had a worn out old atomizer bulb fitted - that one looked 1920's or so to me,
