I’ve had the day off so have posted a few things and am enjoying it. This is coin I’ve had for long time but know nothing about it! Tried to join the sister site but it won’t allow my email address
Would anyone have any ideas? DB01CB79-0CD2-4A27-979D-9946DF187848.jpeg 6043FA76-36B2-4996-A1A6-6B911B734A43.jpeg

I don't ever recall signing up for the cointalk.com site, but used the same credentials as I use here, and I was able to log in.

There's an outside chance that I forgot that I signed up...I have been know to forget who I am at times.

Regardless, hit the "Login" button in the upper right, and try the same credentials as you use here.

A search for 'ancient coin king of kings' gets an assortment of Byzantine coins with this general look.

If a coin has legible text on it, you can usually find it without too much fuss on the Internet. (Although it does sometimes help to know just a little bit of Greek.) :)

Most of it is to me too. This seems to be Greek written in Roman letters, except for the X in the abbreviation for Christos. Suppose that makes some sense for the location & time period.

Also helps to be familiar with the Hallelujah chorus from Handel's Messiah, so that when you see what looks like BASILE BASIL, you naturally think King of kings.

When dealing in ancient coins, we all need to tip our hat to our predecessors in the trade, Billy and Charley.
