Rough textured brass figurines..homemade?

    What's wrong here? These were both at the same sale, and the rough texture looks like a homemade project. The smoke from the fireplace is rough textured like the horse. Any thoughts? Thanks for your time.

    They're little tourist replicas of tomb goods.

    Hi bear and thanks so much! I can't find anything similar when searching replica tomb goods is there something else I should be searching because I don't quite understand.
    Replicas from Where would you think? Sorry to be so full of questions. Just trying to figure them out. Thanks again :)

    The fireplace is finished,the smoke was left rough on purpose.The "horse" is a rough unfinished casting,you can see where the "sprues"were sawed off on 2 of the feet and the mold lines on the legs etc.

    I think probably Egyptian. The bread ovens I saw out there, and they go back millenia.
