    I went and double checked my eagle and there is nothing in that location. If it is a mark or signature, it's way too blurry for my eyes.

    It may not have anything to do with it but the photo from Worthpoint that seems to show some numbers, looks like something like F9 followed by 655 to me. Google tells me that 655 is a type of bronze alloy developed in the 20th C. Not sure it's correct or might apply in any way to yours.

    655 alloy bronze developed in the 1920s as an alternative to cast iron, according to the internet.

    Interesting. I was doubting that the Worthpoint eagle was bronze at all.
