You know... I didn't know that. Thanks for the information.

I've seen it before. There was generally a skeleton key used to open/close the latches and also open the drawers. It kept your five year-old, and possibly light-fingered help, out of the candles.

Just try finding a solid wood chest with that sort of veneer now for US$200. They charge more for Ikea.

Here in Europe every drawer or door has a key.

Thanks for that information AJ, here in my shop I consistently sell them for $100. I’ve sold damaged ones for craft use for $25-$50. Back before eBay at antique shows these did $200 and up.

Makes sense that they are much more expensive in the US. I think the ones sold here are too cheap for what they are. I guess it is just a case of local overload, just like a lot of Indonesian art. When there is a great supply, people don't appreciate things for what they really are.

    I know :D
But the two ebay sellers (pretendo to?) think they are. And asking 150/199 USD for their sets... The first one with 15 people marking it as favorite, and the other with 5.
Do these 20 people actually think these items are yad?!

I'm laughing. Chinese martial arts staves according to the internet. Tons of similar to be found there.

eBay sellers , for the most part......sell a lot of stuff they have no idea what it is..

I've also seen someone selling it as skewers, but it's definitely (I wanted to say 'obviously', but apparently it's not obvious for all) just a miniature Chinese martial arts weapon rack.

Do those ebay sellers think it is customary to point Wushu miniatures at Hebrew texts? The entire set or individually?:wacky:

The tobacco tin is nice. Any marks on the base? Similar ones were made by Daalderop (KMD).
