Featured Potties,who made me ?

Hi all. Been a while since I posted. picked this vase up a couple of weeks ago mainly because it was $2 ! Plus I liked the lines. I honestly cant decide if it has been painted or if thats the glaze. It was very sticky when I grabbed it and sorta shiny ,I instantly thought it had been painted but after washing it I just dont know. I have searched for the mark until my eyes bled. I get all kinds of id on it from google but none correct. Its 6x4 .Any help is always appreciated.

 

I cannot find that mark. The style of the vase has been replicated in modern times. You'd think between the red clay and that mark, a match would be found.

 

Ditto. Many sort of like it, but not this beauty.

 

Modern version of a Grueby form. Looks like paint on there to me.

 

Yes, you can see the red colour at the top rim of the vase. I did wonder if it's a repro...

 

Closest I can find are the modern homages by Jemerick and their Grueby style vases. Can't find that matching bottom stamp though.
