Here is some of the stuff I've found this week. There is more I will post later.
The first is a little character shaving mug. The guy that makes these is pretty well know (Peter Petrie) and I think the shaving mugs are pretty rare. $1.21 at the thrift.

Next is a Nippon coffee/chocolate pot. True Antique and signed on the Bottom. $4.24

And last is a set of 4 pocket knives (stainless) featuring 4 Native American chiefs. Nice case, I don't think the knives are high quality, but I like the presentation and they have not been used. $5 at a garage sale.

    So whatcha think?
Since the 4th, and the HEAT, garage sales have been sparse. Hopefully this week will pick back up.

My grandmother would have been all over the chocolate pot. She LOVED gilded, painted pieces. I'm happy to see you finding stuff. I hit two small thrifts today and got skunked. Tag sales have been few and far between here too. One here, one there, and so much driving time between them that you really only get one chance of finding anything. If you pick the wrong one, everything good is already gone before you get to the second, and there's no use hitting the third.

Yes Ruth-Unless you're mighty early thru the gate,as Dandy Don Meredith used to say-"Turn Out the Lights, the Party's Over!". Then you've gotta wait til Sunday or Monday when you hit the Malls and see what the lucky earlybirds got (and hope they didn't spend the entire weekend researching ?)

That chocolate pot, once listed, will sell quickly (IMHO). It has all the goodies like Roses and Gold and looks like wonderful condition. The shaving mug is adorable and the knives IDK those.
