Not antiques, but a guy 10 miles from me had 2 brand new sets of Honda and Toyota brake pads on CL fot FREE. I scrambled over and grabbed them!

 

A guy at the local Flea had one of these for $20. I would have done it for 10, but let it sit.

 

Right now, I'd rather have the scotch. Can't, but I'd rather.

Finally got some pictures taken. This most of what I found last week, except for a broken (and binned) Radko ornament and a too new Fenton fairy light

The silver collection of 8 silver ornaments are sterling. The glass onion is headed to a Beatles nut friend. The dipped plants are dipped plants, and the glass pair are Radko. No holes in these. The teal and red guy is Marquis of Waterford. The sterling ornaments weigh about 4 ounces avoirdupois. What did I pay for the whole pile, including the Fenton? US$10.

I visited a local antique mall, and a dealer who has two booths is having a 75% off retirement sale. I am listing the original prices (take 75% off them.)
I couldn't run to the cash register fast enough with this. 18" Miss Revlon wearing Cherries Jubilee. The blue coat is a rare piece, all came in the trunk, $45 (her hair is cut, but even at the full price of $45 I would have grabbed this!)

And I probably paid too much for this African bead necklace, $35. That led me to order a book on African beads.

 

On a family vacation last week I went for a bicycle ride and ended up at an epic garage sale.

First thing I saw was a First Nations totem pole. 'How much is this?' I asked. "$3?" was the reply. Then I saw two pieces of Hopi pottery. "$1 each," they said. I started making a pile.

And, maybe best of them, my pile included this 24"x30" original skiing painting by a known Utah artist.

I like many kinds of Mexican ceramics. A huge variety of traditions.
