Old copper jar, Kashmiri?

    Recent acquisition, looks cast and then finished by hand, relief is quite deep (~1/8"). Pot stands 10" high. Heavy-ish, traces of tinning but P.O. polished surface, :( under base dark oxidization.

    It is beautiful, blooey.
    I would say Persian, with a slight possibility of Indo-Persian (which includes Kashmir).
    Could we see the base?

    Yes, Persian, probably 19th century, Qajar dynasty. In Persian and Indo-Persian metalware, copper is almost always Persian. The other regions are more likely to use a brass-like alloy or a combination of metals, showing the different colours.
