Hey everyone! I know I don’t comment much, or any, but I have been enjoying lurking around the forum and reading everyone’s posts! Y’all find some fantastic stuff! Here are a couple of my finds from today. Estate sale hunting is ending for me and back to work I go. Just wanted to share a couple of today’s finds. I always love the turquoise. The earrings are Bell Trading Post and the money clip is simply marked sterling, but my guess is that it is Native American Navajo made. Funny enough I paid more for the earrings than I did the money clip. I spent $10 total on the two items. I’m in the Texas panhandle. Not much here except blowing dirt and fabulous estate sales. Well the prices are fabulous at least.

The earrings originally had clips or screwbacks that were at least coppertone. I The cool copper designs were mostly 1950s, but a few were later. That's a Bell Trading Post mark, so they were made in New Mexico. The company went out of business in 1983, so they're at least 43 years old.

I was thinking that the earring findings were unusual. It makes sense that they have been replaced.

I have been reading that this particular mark was used by Bell until 1961. After that they used the mark with the sign post.

Great finds for a great price. Love the earrings, very nice design. I agree that these hooks don't look original, but I would wear them just the same.:)

I’m more likely to wear them with the hooks. I have some beautiful screw back and clip on earrings that I never wear because they are so uncomfortable. I have several Bell copper bracelets so these earrings will be worn with them.

Spring clips are a tool of the devil. I have no holes, long story, so am always happy to find screwbacks. Happier for wingbacks of course. They never hurt.

I agree about spring backs. But I am going to have to look up wingbacks. Not quite sure what those are. But I think that they might be a spring screw hybrid. I think they are probably like what I see on often on Miriam Haskell jewelry. Going to look it up now.

Only a few companies made them; they were likely more expensive to use and less well-known.
