    Thanks @Kronos !

I always thought DS stood for devoted son.

DS#2 bought the set at an auction in Vermont last night. I'm not sure what he paid for it, but I know it it was WAY out of his comfort zone. He's a picker like his mother.

He's planning on doing Brimfield in September to sell some of his ephemera. He's looking for nice smalls he can sell for decent money.

We will see how that goes. He's a collector, not a seller. He lets me sell the stuff he's not that interested in.

There are "high quality" reproduction boxes out there, so that's something to check out/confirm.

I did Brimfield twice about 15 years ago when I had my store. It was fun but the work was brutal, especially as we set up own tent and brought ton a of heavy stuff.

My son did Brimfield this July with his girlfriend who owns an antique store. He did all of the heavy lifting, but then spent the week sitting next to the tent with three or four boxes of his ephemera. People were very enthusiastic and he had fun. BUT - he came to my house one evening and grabbed three boxes of Comic Books. He said he wanted to see how they'd do. He LOVES his comic books. So the next morning, he pulled the 3 boxes out of the van and put them on the grass next to him. Within minutes a man that he knew was a comic dealer started looking through the first box and soon had 3 comics in his hands. My son silently got up, picked up the other 2 boxes and put them back in the van. Then he went back the man and said "I'm really sorry. I thought I was ready to sell these but I realize I'm not. I'll sell you the ones you have but I can't sell any more. I'm really sorry". The guy left with the 3 comics and DS#2 was left with $600.I forgot to say that the man said
"I DO understand." Hopefully they will laugh about it next time they meet.

So anyway, his girlfriend can't do it in September so he's going by himself. He's going to sell ephemera, smalls and a few pieces of nice furniture.

I hope DS#2's researches his comics thoroughly, an average sale of $200 a comic could soothe some of my angst, but you never know how deep emotions run about certain things.
Then again at my age most physical things start to get ephemeral.

I've got a Sister 18 years my junior. We're pretty close but historically/culturally that's a big gap.My Sis-In-Law's into the newer Disney/Manga collectibles, lives in Orlando.
Nieces and Nephews are a bit more into antiques-most of my high school are into our kinds of things, but obviously they're my age.
PS- Some of the kids getting into the field (who aren't into Pokemon)- seem to be picking & buying mediocre (to my eyes) items-60's Treasure Craft,Fenton, black velvet Snoopys,. Don't think they're getting exposed to much Paul McCobb or even knockoff Eames, Russell Right,Saarinen,Knoll or even Chromcraft or Sears MCM.
Collectives I've wandered lately been a bit bleak.
PSS-Think Montgomery Ward 1960's-70's pottery and glassware.

He does research his comics thoroughly. They're the only things in his large collection of ephemera that ever get sleeved, organized and researched. I get to rummage through the rest of his stuff and sleeve, organize and research things as I see fit.
