Is anyone able to identify the maker of this beautiful chain cabinet? It belonged to my grandparents, and I would like to try to locate the maker so may be able to find the matching table and other pieces.

Thank you for rotating the image -- I wasn't sure how to fix that. :)

Much of the antique furniture is not marked by maker.
Time period is 1920s/30s. Veneered with Inlay.
You may or may not find exact matches. It may have been made by a small regional furniture maker as opposed to a larger company.
However you should be able to find things of the same time period with similar feet and stretchers.

Thank you. And you're right: I wasn't able to find any markings that identify the manufacturer, and it may have been made by a small, local company.

Do you know of any manufacturers who were making similar style pieces?

Me personally, no sorry, not my area of expertise.
Brad often checks in in the early morning and late evening.
Check back and see if he has a response. I tagged him so he should look in.

Clutteredcloset had correctly IDed this for you. It will be next to impossible to match this. The squared bulbous shape to the leg is a unique feature I have not seen before. 99% of what you are going to find that is even remotely similar is going to be round.

So, do you think this is European? French? Italian? English? Just curious.

I don’t know for certain where it was made. It belonged to my grandparents, and I understand they purchased it used from another family. I believe that, at that time, they were living in the Pasadena/Arcadia area here in Southern California.

And thank you Brad for your thoughts. I’m really just trying to match this with a dining table as best I can. I guess I’ll likely have to settle for something with different shaped legs, etc.

Most likely American in origin. There were thousands of companies making similar things in the 20s-30s so very hard to pin to a maker.

Can you suggest any particular manufacturers that I should focus on in my efforts to locate a reasonably similar style dining room table? That would help me to focus my search.

Not really. I would instead focus on the 20s-30s date, or what is sometimes called Depression era furniture.

I'm not sure I would look so much to match the time period as I would try to compliment the color and design.
You want what ever you choose to blend in with color and style lines. Sometimes the more simplistic is the the best.

If you choose something with heavy legs that was common in the 20s/30s (see example from Jeff) you may have too much going on so that the china cabinet is no longer the focal point.
