Identify this statue?

Hello everyone,

My friend has this statue that she purchased a few years ago but could never identify, and ive now become quite interested in figuring out what it may be. After much googling I haven't really come up with much so I figured maybe posting a picture of it to the Antiquers community might offer some insight.

Any thoughts or opinions? Statue is wooden, very light and no identifying marks...I could get more pictures if needed.

I don't know if it is old or new.

I do think that it fits in the realm of Memento Mori.

I agree... the elements of Black Mass, vampiricism, and fantasy suggest to me that it's a whimsical piece by an individual who wanted to express ideas about mortality and life. Balsawood, maybe... very easy to carve but easily dented? It's probably not very old, but it is striking and would be appreciated by people interested in (my new term!) "Memento Mori".
