1951 needlecraft and quilting catalog

 

The first one looks like a parade of some sort, all female. The second looks like something out of my nightmares.(LOL)

These photos look like they could be May Day celebrations. Note the pole in the one photo. It used to be a big deal.

I didn't buy it, but there was a 1973 Shirley Temple doll in a box with its legs broken off. It was all there but didn't seem to be worth much.

 

Unless you plan to use here as Halloween decoration, she was worthless.

 

My grandmother always liked her.

 

Her heyday was back in the 30s. Her collectability went away (or at least way down) when the people who remembered her did.

 

I remember watching her movi4s in the 60s when I was a kid. I never cared for the dolls.

 

I have a few things to post, but this $2 bracelet has me stumped. It's engraved with the same motif on all surfaces. I am posting it on the jewelry board.

Went to my first estate sale in ages. I'm dead, but actually hit something. The place was already half cleaned out, except for clothes..lots of clothes. There was a big jewelry armoire in one bedroom. There were a bunch of junk neclaces - so many they could be taken out but it would have taken a Jenga master to hang them all back up. The drawers didn't even have dust. I did OK though. One chain had the right weight, and was marked 14k in three places. Into my bag it went, along with two others. Also came home with two packs of tissue paper.

The chain? It weighs about 14g ... and acid tests for 14k. Into my 401-k it goes!
