    Hi,
Well I saw perhaps 6 items I might be interested in. Four pieces of porcelain, 1 piece of glass and perhaps that copper boiling vat filled with canning jars. Oh course back in 1999 I was in a similar house and found an old coffee can filled with old silver dimes, the newest was 1941. Paid 50 cents for the can. Only wish it was a three pound can instead of a one pound.

Dunno. Me, I'd prefer to dig at the first one. The second looks too curated, like they tossed everything I'd actually want.

Yes, that one is unusual. Most of the time the heirs don't walk away with so many things.
But the contrast between those two is as far as it's ever gotten. Especially when they are the only two within reasonable driving distance.

You have to keep in mind that there may not be "heirs" in the familial sense, TOG. Perhaps had no children or they're already gone on to greener pastures themselves. I've been to quite a few estate sales here with piles of stuff very much like what I saw in the pictures for the first one.

Fully agree, it's just very rare to see that particular company with such comments as - WE ARE STILL DIGGING OUT. HOME IS SEVERELY PACKED - and then pictures that really don't have obvious Liv. Room, Kit, one or two bedrooms, etc.
Not disparaging the estate. I'm sure it would be fun to explore, but can't make it.

Then, coincidentally to have at the same time only one more sale with an exceptionally uncluttered house. One that is the polar opposite.

My intent was to offer an anomaly, not as a critique of either. Sorry if it was not presented that way.

As of right now "There are 9 more sales starting in 3 days " in my in box.

    @TheOLdGuy
I think part of the mess in the first one is due to the people putting on the sale.
Those plastic tables set up in each room were probably added. They are plowing through cupboards, closets, trunks etc and leaving their mess behind them.
They don't seem to be helping to organize the original clutter.

That hoarders place might have a gem hidden in it , but id be surprised . Most of the mounds of crap I did see weren't high end at all , Im betting the rest is the same way . That 2nd one is a different story ! Id kill for that couch and that picture next to it !

I have three rummage/tag sales this weekend, one Friday morning, one Friday evening, and one Saturday morning. I'm not holding out a ton of hope for the first two, but you never know. I once hit Bohemian garnet jewelry at a kiddie fundraiser. "Oh we didn't get much jewelry" and they didn't, but I scarfed everything they had. Still have most of it too.(LOL)

You don't have to go to those extremes. Just overnight me a certified check and I'll see what I can do.
Make the check out to THE OLD GUY.
    30 grand should cover it.
Do you want the coffee table if I can get it thrown in?

No problem. Though I already had MY eye on the little green one.

I'll do my best with what's left after my gas reimbursement and your S&H costs.

The coffee table will significantly raise the latter.
