This is one of 5 antique Indian miniature paintings I recently got from the collection/estate of a retired antique dealer who's daughter I helping out. I think they are all at least early 1800's but some potentially earlier (I thought this one could be early 1700's?). They are so amazing and hoping to learn more about different schools and identifying different time periods. Ive done some research and studying, but it seems pretty hard to be confident! Hope you enjoy this and the others when I post them :) Its 7" tall

    Thank you!

Yes I love all of the 5 we got, they are amazing. First time seeing them in person. Im not sure if the house cleaning is all done, I think there is still a decent amount of stuff left actually haha. Are you in the Mass area?

Also I should share all 5 so AJ can help! We have to auction them for the family so any info would be great.

Seeing the styles would narrow down the specific schools, which brings us closer to period in which they were made. I already have an idea, but would love to see them all.
And in spite of bosko's confidence, I may have to point you to a true expert outside the forum, but let's see if we can work it out first. It has been done before.;)

They are not all the same, seems is is a small collection from different years/styles/subjects, but here they all are. The second one here, the blue background with the women holding an instrument is so amazingly well painted. I will have to buy it for myself haha.
