    An interesting find!

these vessles have some painted ID numbers on the bottom which I believe indicates that these pieces were in a museum. Also, a tag with the name "I. M. Cline", this is the interesting part.

While doing some research on the name we, my partner, Andrew and I, found the name Isaac Monroe Cline. Cline was a chief meteorologist at the Galvestonm, Texas, office of the U.S. Weather Bureau bewteen 1889 to 1901. Then, retiring to be an art collector and a fellow ANTIQUER ❤️.

Later on our research we found an article mentioning that Cline donated some pieces to the Delgado Museum of Art, now known as New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA). The artice mentiones that he donated Chinese bronzes and then they where "lost".

We've been trying to reach out to the museum archive to see if the numbers at bottom of these pieces are registered on ledgers and how they are describing them.

I wanted to share the story as it is rather exciting! And if someone has any insigths on these pieces, please let us know your toughts.

    Thank you! DSC_4477_1905_4781_1788472960863.jpg DSC_4479_1905_4781_1788472964245.jpg DSC_4481_1905_4782_1788472981673.jpg DSC_4483_1905_4782_1788472985364.jpg

Beautiful pieces ana. They look thin walled, made of a beaten bronze sheet, which is a good sign for bronzes of that age. The patina is also good, on both pieces.
We have had many repros over the years, so it is exciting to see what looks like genuine early bronzes.:woot::woot::happy:
    Yes it is.:)
Will you let us know if and when they reply?
