Awesome, thanks so much for letting us know! I had no idea, and I do walk by these things all the time, but NO MORE!! Now I'm wondering if I have some of these rare patterns in my kitchen somewhere, and I'll have do go digging. Wishful thinking, but I'm sure mine are not the wanted ones, darn it.:grumpy:

We had 2 turquoise with white snow flakes and a white one with the turquoise snowflakes come through the auction a few months ago..
One with no lid sold at 7.5 the others w/ lids went 12.5 each.

They were cutest pattern I've seen.
I just don't get the pricey appeal.
I could see wanting to match your kitchen, but for $20, $50, $100, $1000+ ...no

Thank you for posting that and to CRS for all those links. I wonder if the seller was shocked that it went that high?

Pyrex? Really? I never knew. Maybe I should start taking in clients kitchen items after all. hmmm? I have been turning away that sort of stuff. LOL!
Next time I will say, well do you have any Pyrex? LOL! This is fascinating. I really had no idea that it was collectible. I mean I knew some things like it were but Pyrex never really crossed my mind.

    Lloyd,

That is the same pattern and colour as the set of mixing bowls we use around here. When I went to check our pattern, I noticed we also have the matching set of casserole dishes.

    Is anything else worth anything?
I just saw a nice, transparent medium blue, Pryex pie 'plate'?

Ola, :):):happy: thanks so much for starting this thread. An EDUCATION. Not impossible I would spot something like this --but I might have passed, say if GW had it at ....$14.99. Now I know to check! I wonder where this is all going. Japan?

Here is my day-to-day, I got it 12 years ago at a garage sale. (Not promotional, but functional!)

OOOHH!! The pink cinderella mixing bowls! Hugely popular. They do well on eBay and they also sell extremely well at my Mall. I once found a set of these bowls with the matching casseroles at a tag sale for a very low price. Obviously, they weren't hip to the 'Rex! It was in the basement and as I was coming up the steps another person going down saw them and had a real disappointed look on her face.

Unfortunately, this is all that is left of my polka dot set that I was given as a shower gift in 1972. I've thought of trying to rebuild it, but it just doesn't matter to me any more. I have a really nice set of melamine bowls from Wms-Sonoma. This bowl is not in as good shape as it appears in the photo. The inside has mixer marks.

Someone asked where all these bowls are going? I was told that young women love these because they are glass and supposedly don't give off or aren't made of some noxious modern material. But that could be just a story, I really don't know.
