Featured Two japanese silverware, new finds. :)

    Just got these two new finds and shipped to me from Italy.

    One is mixed metal bronze, copper and silver with three colors.
    Another is samurai shokai sterling box, very heavy and very large. Applied dragon not repousse.

    Beautiful, Asian. Love them both, but I agree, the dragon is stunning.:happy: It is also a bit closer in style to your other love, Chinese export silver.

    I am glad you provided the dragon with its own water bottle, always take good care of your dragons.:)

    Hi,
    Both pieces are gorgeous but I am with you. The dragon box is absolutely WONDERFUL!~!!!!!

    No Chinese export, still beautiful though.:)
    I went from Bali to Java.:D
    The other one was a Balinese Art Deco carving, this one is from the cover of a 1930s book, so also Art Deco.
    Javanese aristocrats used to wear such a headdress.

    Really great pieces! I like them both near equally, mixed metal wins out even though I’m a silver guy. I just spent thirty mins reading about Samurai Shokai. The company and its owner have a very interesting story!!!
