Anyways, this feels like glass or something similar when tapped on my teeth. To me it looks painted red, any ideas on what this type of stone looking necklace is?
    Thank You

Billy, Your pix are almost too close up, but is every bead that is vaguely flower shaped different from others? That would be a good sign for hand carved. Glassy when tapped on teeth, What about if you sort of nibble at them? Any feel of graininess? My experience has been that coral does not feel as grainy to the teeth as most pearls do, but there's still some texture compared to glass, plastic or polished stone. Does it seem heavy for its size?

Hi Billy....I haven't a clue about the beads, just popping in to say hello and that I hope you're feeling and doing well.

Is the clasp closure magnetic or does it screw closed? I ask about the clasp because if original to the piece, magnetic closures are kind of a new thing and often on pieces that aren't too expensive when new. So hoping this has a screw in mechanism or other.

Also a picture of the entire piece is always helpful when ID-ing jewelry.

Hi Billy, good to see ya. Not a jewelry person so I can't help, but they are pretty.

It looks like a conventional barrel clasp to me that screws together. And unscrews on its own, in my experience. This one does not have swivels at the ends, so cord would have to twist while clasp was closed, it would want to unwind & might lead to the clasp coming unscrewed. The way it is knurled also suggests you have to twist.

Hi Judy, thanks for asking. I pulled some muscles in my back and haven’t been able to do side jobs, had to turn some down. Hope you have a Merry Christmas

Hard to tell, but it kind of looks like molded glass.

We've got you, Billy. I've been asked how I can be friends with people I never met in person. Easy. Some of you are nicer than people I know in person! Many years ago now I belonged to an Ebay forum. A couple from Ohio and my husband and I traveled to England to spend ten days with two couples I met online through the forum. It was the best time. They chose a fabulous little inn in the English countryside for us to stay. They hired a van to drive us around. Every day we saw a different castle or stately home or famous site. We took a ride down a canal in the Black Country (coal mines), we visited York and Chester Cathedral, we ate in pubs. It was marvelous. You can't replace that heartfelt friendship.
