LUCIEN LELONG Opening Night Vintage Perfume Bottle

I could not find anything in the 2 books I have or on the perfume site that I have saved that deal with commercial bottles.

I do agree it is likely early 60's. If it is worth more because of the color, there is only one way to find out. Put it up for sale as an auction listing with the lowest strting price you would take & see what happens.

So your bottle is 1999 and later.

 

I did have it online for auction sale for a few weeks. Hardly any traffic to it, and no offers, despite a pretty low start price. Usually, the lack of interest is a pretty good indication of low value for an unknown item—but not always—so I thought I' check with the experts. Thanks again to all who replied.

Just stumbled on this, and thought I'd share as I get a kick out of the night and day reactions and JDBIII's strong distaste for the scent.

 

Might wait and try again in the summer.
I've noticed things move at different times of the year.
@bercrystal any insight for when would be a better time of year to try.

 

Most collectors that I know what the older bottles pre-1940 usually. The Opening Night bottles from the 1930's look nothing like this one. Also I would bet the formula for the actual perfumes is worlds apart.

I am surprised this one didn't sell for more just to get the original box.

Sometimes I think the way to sell this type of perfume bottles is in a lot. JMHO
