    Roughly 15 x 3" and 2 lbs.

Am I correct in saying it is the top part of a peonies and butterfly-themed, silver overlaid, hexagonal 19th-Century Chinese wooden hat box?

I am not feeling hat box...not deep enough. I think this is a box for a serving tray that it once housed.
