Featured Black and white dogs

    What you've got there are a pair of Disraeli dogs , these are (or used to be!) the more desirable Staffs dogs. Should have a small hole in the back ..Gilding looks right so probably older ones.

    Exactly: they're more common here, and also rather out of fashion, too. Markets do vary. ;)

    Loose or open forefoot ones are probably earlier BTW

    I'm not throwing stones from my Pyrex house. Happens to me often enough that having a question I really want to ask interferes with my ability to notice it was already answered. ;)
