Handmade Purple Glass Bowl Vase - Comments, please

I tried very hard resist this purple glass bowl vase. I really did. I was won over by the weight (5 lbs and 2 ozs) and the obvious wear to the bottom making me believe that it is at least not new. The pontil scar been polished. It is 6 3/4 inches high and has a 4 1/2 inch opening. I would appreciate any thoughts or comments. My two days of searching found nothing except an amber fish bowl/vase with a similar shaped neck attributed to Blenko, but which was 10 inches high. The pinterest link went nowhere, so I don't know if this was a guess.
It is so beautiful and substantial, I can't believe that it doesn't come from a quality maker. I just couldn't find it.

5 LBS!!!!! I think that's HEAVY!!! If you "snap" it with your thumb & middle fingers, do you get a resounding ring??? Which as I remember might indicate lead?? LOVE the COLOR!!! (from your first two pics, I thought it went from Amber to Purple!!!)

 

Yes. Very heavy. I went around my house clicking on various items and the only one that has a clearly singing tone is a small Kosta Boda Bowl. This purple vase makes a sound but it is not musical. I just don't know. I fixed the confusion about the two vases. Thanks for your ideas.
