Featured Staffordshire cat

    I've had this cat for a while now and don't know anything about it.
    Wondering if anyone out There has any knowledge of its age or value. Much appreciated

    Found this one auction est £1300 but the recumbent pose might be rarer. Same vent hole underneath, similar sponge decoration. Likely 19th century and Staffordshire. Wait for others opinions though. What size is it? Some are quite small.

    This is another one I'm unconvinced is "right". The collar painting is very gloopy.

    I am TERRIBLE at finding past info....WHO was JUST in the last couple of days looking for info to verify a STAFFORDSHIRE DOG??? I couldn't find it and it had a LOT of GOOD info on all STAFFORDSHIRE animal INFO??????

    Hi Rita, The link that @@dgbjwc found for me ABOVE, is mostly about STAFFORDSHIRE dogs, but much of it applies also to the cats! The deeper you go into the article there are other links where you can see more information and a few cats and their prices that have sold on RubyLane.com. Happy hunting and I hope it helps. Your cat I can't tell as to it's age, but it does look like someone painted the blue collar in front. The colors otherwise do look good......to me.....
