You say “original vintage condition” yet someone has written numbers for the 24-hour system on it. I’m sure it didn’t come from the factory that way. I’m not interested at all but how much do you think this watch is worth? It looks like it was a very inexpensive watch when new, and now it certainly isn’t in new condition.
My dear friend, first of all I'm not asking you to buy it, if you don't care it's fine for me. Then, the R.H. Ingersoll & Bro. watch paper belongs to the Watch Papers Collection, and it is a rather rare and sought after piece at a collector's level in the sector, you can find feedback from the American antiquarian society, and also, this pocket watch that is more than 100 years old, works perfectly. You don't find any value, ok, so I'm wondering why I have already received two private offers, they are probably just two inexperienced people, not expert like you. in any case, I believe that you don't know well how European assembly works with the addition of 24h posthumously. However, I don't find it very elegant of you to enter my ad to shoot negative judgments related to value or non-value. This is a sales announcement, and not a value request, it is not a value research post, I am not asking for a certain amount, there are no misleading requests, but on the contrary, I let free offers to those interested, thanks for understanding it.
You may want to add the word "crown" to your watch advertisement to distinguish it from other models made in the same year. As in Ingersoll Crown Pocket Watch
Often called a 'dollar watch'. In its day it was actually less than a dollar. I have an old ad somewhere selling them for 45 cents.
Warranty paper dates Nov 27, 1911 so it should be 1911 or before. Please correct me if I am wrong, thanks for your time.
Hopefully the additional exposure there will get you a good price. You never know, some collector with a really nice one may need the warranty paper and buy it just for that. Stranger things have happened.
