Featured Unusual etching of a ritual ceremony

    I purchased this etching about 10 years ago. I have not been able to figure out the signature. I would also like some help understanding what is going on in this picture. I am thinking it must be from some mythology that I am not familiar with. IMG_0937.jpg IMG_0935.jpg

    That Chicken guy is obviously a badass though, eh? Doesn't look like the crowd is too happy to see him....

    That is strange - creepy.
    I can't see that artist producing both pieces but I guess it is possible.

    Hmm, I'm not convinced. He seems to go by Paul O. Zelinsky and signature is quite different- though they do change over time. You could always email him.[​IMG]

    I thought of that. He would have been 17 at the time before he went to Yale and he took a class that would lead him to his career in children's books. He could have developed his artistic signature as part of that process. Before I posted this idea, I reviewed this wikipedia article
