I apologize - this handmade, ruby-colored, glass perfume bottle still has a layer of grime on parts, but before I spend more hours cleaning it, I would like to know if you all think it a possible older piece or not. Otherwise, I won't waste more time. There is a large pontil mark, mostly polished, but no other mark on the bottom. It appears that the outer layer of ruby glass has been removed to create a design. On the close up of one of the sides, there are obvious deep lines, but the rest appear lighter. The scenes on the sides are a castle and a deer (I think) in the forest. The stopper has a design, which I'm hoping is the maker's mark. It is 5 inches tall. Any help appreciated.

IMO it is an older piece, Bohemian/Czech although the engraving is fairly sketchy ...so not a 19thc piece ..not new though either.

I appreciate your thoughts. Thank you. It was covered in so much grime that it almost white, but if you think it is older I'll keep going on the cleaning. The stopper was stuck, so someone gave up on it. A little magic silicone spray fixed that right away.

You're welcome. I've never seen a piece of this, early or late manufacture that was signed, so don't expect a sig.

So far I found this which as @bercrystal says is an Egermann. It has some of same motifs. Description:

1940's This ruby red glass decanter with stone wheel engraving appears to be Egermann from the Czech Republic, although it is not marked. It is 8” to the stopper, which is still present and 3 3/4” X 2 3/4” with a 3/4” opening. It has the Egermann stag, trees and stylized plants

What are you using to clean it?
If you can handle the smell of ammonia, I suggest a squirt bottle of 50-50 ammonia and water. Then use a sponge with Dawn on it. The grime should come off easily. Do not use a Scotch Brite pad.
The red is an applied coating and can be scratched and worn off.
I see a lot of scratches.

You're right. I've been using something to scratch it off, when it didn't come off easily. Thanks for the advice. :)

Eggerman was making these wares in the last half of the 19th century in Bohemia. May still be doing so.

Thanks very much for weighing in. I found a lot of things with the same motifs, but not the shape yet. I appreciate your confirmation.

Hours of searching and no luck with the shape yet, but it is clearly Egermann. Thank you all for comments. I'll post anything I find that is close. I did find some pinch bottle decanters that appear to be newer. I understand @blooey's comment about the fineness of the engraving now, as the older pieces are engraved in a more refined manner. @clutteredcloset49 comment is well taken too. After many views, it appears to be a spray, not ruby glass.

Great hunting! That certainly is the same style of bottle as mine just a more elongated shape. Thank you for putting your excellent skills to work. I get the feeling that the stopper is wrong and maybe the original stopper was like mine- a matching motif. If it is really art nouveau that would be a wonderous thing to rescue this from a unwanted dismal condition to a place where sunshine can stream through it to show it's lovely details.
