Hi there, this piece of furniture belongs to my mum and she is wanting to sell and upgrade her draws. I don't want her to sell it really cheap if its worth abit more. Can anybody help with an estimation. It cost her £150 when she originally bought it.

    Thanks

I had an English stained oak server that had a very similar art nouveau carved frieze dated to about 1930's. Can you show the drawer construction?

I can get some photos, it's very heavy but couldn't see any markings on it on 1st inspection unless it's underneath or inside a draw.

It wouldn't be worth any more than she paid for it most places at retail here in the US. I don't know what the UK market would bring. We do have British members here so wait to see what they have to say.

Looks 1920s ish. Might be Olde Charme or Gomme, not worth much in the UK, sadly.

wonderful. I'd start to research in direction of Glaswegian arts and crafts.

1930s/40s Priory style court cupboard, although I can't attribute this to being English. In UK we mainly produced from the early 20thC until well into the 60s, a whole range of what was called 'Priory Oak' furniture and obviously from the name, always included things like linen-folds to the doors and/or small priory arches to the front apron etc. taken from the medieval period originals. I had many many examples through my auction house but never one like this with carved bells. A safe Google search link here to many more examples of English Priory Revival Furniture. https://www.google.es/search?q=prio...VHDGMBHfq_A2kQ_AUoAXoECAwQAw&biw=1560&bih=759
