Antique Euro furniture help

Discussion in 'Furniture' started by Justin Juliano, Jan 18, 2020.

  1. I have inherited some furniture recently and I’m having trouble identifying a value. I’m not even sure what it is. I would describe as a china cabinet but I haven’t found anything like it on the internet. My grandfather has lived in Germany for the last 60 years. Any help is appreciated.

It does appear to be some sort of china cabinet.
However your picture is too small to see much
Maybe 1930s - but that is just a guess on my part.

most important is a proper clear pic of the sticker to check the brand.

    Yes it does, thank you.
Now we can see the burl veneer. Very lovely.
A closer picture of one of the claw feet might help one of the furniture gurus.

I'm still going with a 1930/40s time frame.

Central European ca. 1935. Beautiful burl. Don't know where you are, so it's hard to pin a value to this. In the U.S. Midwest it would probably go for $200 or so at auction. Sad, because of the obvious nice workmanship and materials. It's large size does not help.

Did it come with those treasures inside?

  10. Yes it did. One side has a lot of crystal and glassware. The other side has china sets. Mostly from Germany. The middle has a lot of individual pieces of china and crystal. We are more of a paper plate and solo cup family to be honest. Just trying to sift through everything.

I have been getting a lot of help on these forums so far.
