Need help identifying pewter cup and saucer

    I have no idea what this item is or what it is for. From reading your forums, I know that the 95% on the hallmark would indicate mid 20th century, and that it's German (rein zinn). If anyone knows more, I would appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome Nic.
    It is a teaglass holder, as blooey said, missing its glass. You can probably find a simple glass to replace it.
    The style is Gothic inspired. The horse could have to do with the Saxon part of Germany, in the northwest and centre of the country, or simply with a love of horses.;)
    The design of the lady justice mark, also called angel mark, looks post-1960 to me. There must be records of these marks somewhere. Try googling 'Engelsmarke' or 'Zinnmarke'.
