Featured Is this decanter Blenko or someone else?

This blue decanter has me stumped. It looks like a Blenko Husted 565 but not sure. It looks exactly like the one in the sketch that I attached a photo of from Leslie Pina's Blenko book. However, when I found a photo of an actual decanter., the neck seems longer and the top flatter. This one has no stopper and in feeling the inside of the neck, there is no roughness where a stopper might have been. The decanter measures 8" high to the top of the spout and 10" in diameter. Also, it did not cooperate in the photos, the decanter looks fuzzy no matter how much I tried to get it more crisp. TYIA!

I can't remember if either of those companies ground the necks & stoppers to fit, sorry.

 

UncleChuck, thanks! In the top right hand photo, I see my decanter as the 2nd one from the left. That's exactly it. I'm having trouble reading the little numbers under the photo but it looks like # 912_ something, I guess based on the size. Still looking for a stopper it seems. Thanks so much!

You're welcome! I've run across a couple of these items in the Sunset Orange color. It's much more vibrant than shown in the catalogs. Good luck in your hunt for a stopper.

 

I frequently think of stopper hunts in the same way that people think of organ donations. I need to get on a list! So hard to find and then the size is wrong!
