Hi all Hope your weekend is going well so far. I picked this up this morning. Oil on canvas 24" W x 12" H. I didn't think it was sofa art because the artist made a list on the back of the canvas of what looks like the colors used in the painting. not sure. But so far i'm finding nothing with this name.

That certainly looks like a factory painting, Mickey.

Mickey is a mouse created by Walt Disney.
I think the quality is better than a factory painting. just my opinion.

Factory painting with someone else's signature over the original.

Ya know to be fair... factory paintings are designed to please. And they do please a lot of people. They're not awful, awful. They're just not art. They're a product like... like... say, toothpaste. One giveaway on yours is the haste in which it was painted. Look at the fir trees and see how quickly they were created with a series of horizontal strokes (by someone, it appears, who never say a fir in real life.) And nothing about the work makes one feel that it was a scene observed. It's lifeless.

Do you think someone watched Bob Ross, wrote down the colors he used and then painted this? I just don't get why someone would write over the signature - and it definitely looks like "Chears".

When I do a colored pencil I always write the colors on the back like this.
