What is the Holy Grail of Antiquers?

    I know the Holy Grail for most coin collectors is the 1909 S V.D.B. Lincoln wheat penny. What is the Holy Grail for antiquers?

    Vidrio Products all chrome pedestal floor fan. You won't find a photo online to look at. I have a photo of one on eBay about 20 years ago. It's probably the only desirable item manufactured by Vidrio I don't have.

    I'd like to have an art collection full of Rembrandt's, Durer's, and Vermeer's works. Also my holy grail coin would be a 1933 Double Eagle, specifically the Farouk coin which is the only one legal to own for collectors. Not that I'll ever be able to own any of these things; you would need fortuitous opportunity + lots of cash and unless I win a large lottery jackpot or have some unknown wealthy relative leave me lots of money -- Neither is going to happen. My family tree consists largely or poor rural farmers in Ohio, my generation was the first to have several of the children graduate college.

    Oh, a nice Meeks or Belter top o' the line parlor set. There are more expensive things in the world,but out of my league for sure.

    Firstly I think you should have put US inbetween "most coin collectors".
    As in "most US coin collectors"

    Because the rest of the world coin collectors don't give a rats ass about a 1909 VBD Cent .:hilarious:

    Having said that, if I had enough money my holy grail would be to pay the Egyptian government to allow me and several other interested parties to visit the vaults not shown to the public of King Tuts possessions that were found in his tomb.

    I saw an exclusive showing on TV last night, hundreds upon hundreds of personal items that have never been on public display.

    This civilization left behind, buildings, bodies, writings, artwork, food, plants, DNA, gold, silver,shoes, beds, clothing, etc etc from over 4700 years ago.

    All that physical history and half the world prefer to believe in a fairy story of some bloke born in the Middle East who allegedly performed magic tricks.

    Millions have died and suffered in this belief.

    There is not a scrap of evidence he ever existed, not one tiny piece.

    They read authorless books and think it is real and they believe he is coming back :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
