Can anyone suggest a possible date for this little trinket jar? 4" in diameter, about 2" high. No markings. Porcelain, not stoneware or earthenware. I have seen this style before, (usually described as some form of "Satsuma") but never known how old/recent such things might be. Thanks. moriage jar 2 (800x719).jpg moriage jar 5 (800x764).jpg moriage jar 4 (800x766).jpg moriage jar 3 (800x760).jpg

I think by 1920, things like this were out of fashion. This piece looks later in the scheme of things so possibly just pre-WW1 or thereabouts, (just a guess, though).

I just realized it is a porcelain piece so could be later than I first suggested. Design is quite cursory too so could be MUCH later ..sorry I can't be more helpful!
