    hi,
I picked this up today as a useful storage item but I can’t find anything similar on the internet to help me identify it. Would anyone be able to help with what this piece is? What it is made of etc? Height wise it is about 88cm tall
    Many Thanks in advance
    Liz

Hello, Liz! Are there any holes in the back of a size that would allow wires to exit?

Thanks for replying. It just looks rather like a vintage 70s-80s TV cabinet.

Is this the auctioneers sticker with a lot number blanked out ?

Personally it looks like a 1970's TV / entertainment cabinet .

Yes it’s just the auctioneers sticker. I guess tv’s were smaller then! I can see the similarities when looking at 70’s tv cupboards online. Still can’t find one with two sets of doors like that. Thank you for responding.

Yes TV's screens were smaller but the sets were fatter.
Have you noticed even the new ones are measured in inches instead of MM or CM, in fact PC monitors and phone screens are measured in inches, even the length of mens naughty bits are in inches, its a puzzle.:hilarious:

    After Bar mitzvah is understandable.

Mine was medical rather than religious.

Family donated the parts to the Whaling museum.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Are there any markings on it?
To me it looks like a 1970s/80s homemade project. Made for an owner's specific need.
Basing this on the feet and trim, as well as the pulls that don't match the style.

I am thinking a tad older than the 70s. Maybe 40s-50s, and possibly a record cabinet if the depth and height of the internal spaces are right.

I'm thinking it was a double pot cupboard.

Actually it really does resemble older built in gramophone/record cabinets, just missing the gramophone part. Thanks for the heads up
