I found this lamp on craigslist but the only this the owner new was that it came out of a medical practice of some kind. I tried to locate cast marks on the base but had no luck. I thought it might be an o.c. white but I believe they mark their products so I'm at a loss. Any help would be great. 00Z0Z_5kjEwg2XAgg_600x450-1600x1200.jpg 00m0m_k2zMBCQWTpc_600x450-1600x1200.jpg

The base is so ornate and artsy with the sinuous animal legs and paw feet. The top is so industrial and utilitarian. It's a strange combination.

I can't tell from the picture, are the wheels rusted metal or wood?

They're very rusty metal. The combination threw me as well, I spent quite a bit of time trying to find a comparable base but had no luck

The top says 1930s , the bottom says 1900 . I think its a marriage . Very cool lamp nonetheless .

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I'm throwing in with Johnny. A very nice marriage.
The plain top seems right for a medical setting; the bottom seems more appropriate for a decorative setting... hey, maybe the waiting room!

    'Morphodite for sure.

Some O.C. White shades have a pretty distinctive doughboy-helmet look. Can't see yours well enough to tell. I've never seen one with a flexible stem though.

The base is just wild! I've never seen similar. If this is a marriage (may well be) I'm super curious to see what the top would have originally looked like. I think the base is very desirable. Can see why you were drawn to this lamp.

I also think marriage. It probably had a larger light of some kind on there or may have been some other kind of stand altogether. This looks like it is off one of the gooseneck desk lamps.

I would very much like to thank the members of the community for their help! After taking into consideration the idea that it was a marriage I did a little more digging and found out that, more than likely, the bottom half was off of an adjustable clothing rack. I found a couple of "rounder" style racks with very similar bases. At least now I know where to start my quest for the other half! THANKS AGAIN!!
