I have no idea how my brain works sometimes, but I start out looking for a CDV and wind up on some crazy other site......Which is how I wound up on UrbanRemains.com ......if you go and check out products, I think for sure you will see some stuff you haven't seen before, BUT, I am SURE the guy on the site must have fallen out of his dinghy and taken in a whole lot too much salt water.....You'll see what I mean......I mean he has some neat unusual stuff!!!!! BUUUUUUUUUT!!!!! Oh, and the main thing I wanted to point out there was:

I've made the basic pattern so....
What do you want for a finish on this?
If sand it to look like frosted glass it would look good and consistent but not really look old and used.
It will take paint well this way and you could paint it then antique it.
Whatcha think?

I like the way the plane looks now so I wouldn't paint anything. Can you leave it as it is, no finish on it?

 

Ok. I will try to do little damage to the surfaces as I fabricate it.

 

I hope we get to see the results!!!!!!!!!!!!! After all, the pins and needles are starting to get to me!!!!!!!!!!

KOT, the lamp isn't in perfect condition so please don't worry about damage

 

I understand but fab marks won't do. Scratches that could happen in any fashion could be acceptable.
