Featured Pink bird vase - Can't ID the signature

Picked up this pink bird vase in an auction lot and I'm having trouble identifying the signature. It looks like "stella" but when I search for that I get a lot of modern stuff. Think it's possibly 50/60s but not sure. Can anyone I.D. the maker and date? Any ideas what kind of bird it is? Doesn't look like a peacock to me. The vase is 38.5cm high and 1.93Kg.

Hi could we get a close up of the signature and a picture of the base please?

 

Uploaded a closer picture. There's nothing on the base. No marks, impressions or numbers.

Edit - I'm wrong there is a small circle in the middle of the base (see photo)

 

Looks like a stylized peahen to me from the 50s.

Which Stella? There seem to be quite a few potters/potteries called Stella.

 

I was serious about it being a peahen but was joking about her.... 'Between takes'

I'm gonna guess that it's a highly stylized peacock or mayyyyybe one of the lyrebirds, or mayyyybe even one of the Bird-of-Paradise(s).
In any event --- very stylized. Not sure how to advise if you're planning on listing. I think it's just superb. I can see it full of pink roses. OR... I might completely lose my mind and spray paint some dried flowers GOLD and/or black and put 'em there. No, really, I think it would be fun! Just the thing for an over-the-top boudoir with black satin pillows and a round bed! I could go on...
