    asking for a guess “based” on the base only. Obviously not new, Screw(s) in corner, paint remaining, oxidation of stuff, etc for typical model that’s been moved a little now and then.

    Got a bit more info, the base is actually bronze, I had no idea. I have reason to believe the thing dates from mid-19th C. I’ll be able to post more info this weekend. I think the thing is a sleeper, with some historical significance. Sry am not able to tell more yet, but I don’t want to endanger my chances of getting it by blabbing too much.
