Hi all , picked up these 2 today HOPING the pink one is Kralik . The tall green bottle I THINK is blenko , but the only example I found has gold on it ? Its 15 inches high . The little pink vase is 5 1/2 high4 wide , and the stripes are actually gold in the sun but I cant seem to capture that in pics . Any and all help is as always appreciated . Wow , Im surprised . I thought it too well done to be chinese , but I'll take your word for it . :)

The green bottle isn't Blenko. Their stoppers don't have flanges and they didn't do pieces with as much mold blown detail. Probably Italian.

And I agree with tallcakes, Teleflora on the pink vase. The Chinese have done some nice vases in the past few years for them.

Telaflora is not always Chinese. They contracted with a lot of different glass makers to design vases for their arrangements. I think a lot of them are under rated. They even had some in Alexandrite glass.

Thanks so much for all the input everyone . I paid $4 for the pink vase and 5 for the soldier , so either way its all good . That pink vase is gorgeous regardless of its humble origins ! :)

Johnny, a few days ago you posted a piece of red Schott-Zwiesel glass in the Finds thread. I've gone back to it a couple of times, because I think it's so pretty. Did you ever find out anything more about it?

When I saw it, I thought carafe (as opposed to vase) but the thickness of the glass at the top made me wonder...

I have a Polish glass carafe (obviously not the same as your Schott-Zwiesel) but the top is much thinner glass.

    Yours, then mine:

Mine is only 10" tall, but it weighs a lot, too. It also has a matching drinking glass that inverts over the top, for use as a bedside carafe, perhaps.

I only found one vaguely similar Schott-Zwiesel item, a different shape, listed as a vase:

    from:

I honestly can't tell if the glass at the top is as thick as that on your item.

Anyway, I love your colored glass collection! I have several bits & pieces of it, myself, but (sadly) I have way too many things to display everything!

I sure havent , and I didnt even find that one vase you found ! I never thought carafe , but now that you mention it , I can ! Though it would be unwieldy ! The shelf was originally brown stained , and I had teapots and the like on it , but I was ready for a change , so now Im going for a " beachy " theme , minus the shells and driftwood . I could kick myself for getting rid ( donating ) a ton of depression glass of all colors ( except the rare ones , those I sold ) , but thankfully Ive been on a modern glass kick for a while so I had plenty of colored glass ! LOl ! Thank you so much for your efforts on my behalf , I really seem to suck at online searching . :)

Packed in several large bins in the attic, I have a very full service for 18 (I mean, I have every kind of plate/bowl/serving piece you can imagine!) in pale yellow, which I am dying to unpack somewhere. I just don’t have a place to display it now, and we haven’t been entertaining since our recent move, so I guess it will have to wait.

Mine is a collection of “mismatched” Elegant Glass that all goes quite well together: Heisey (mostly Empress, all in sahara,) Cambridge (including a fair amount of Caprice, all in yellow,) and Fostoria (topaz.) The colors are all pretty much the same, but I probably have an example of every single etch that each of those companies produced…

Somehow, it all looks glorious together! I have water & wine glasses from all 3 companies, and I have filled in with a dozen pieces of Orrefors Erika in amber, which is actually a pale yellow and looks just right mixed in.

Johnny, “ready for a change” sort of sums up where I’ve been lately, too. Lighter & brighter seems to be the order of the day, and I’m enjoying a slightly more casual look of late.

Now to find a place to display some of my colored glass!

Oooo , I love me some Orrefors ! Ive got a few pieces on display , but most are packed away . None colored unfortunately . For so long I was all about victorian , lots of gilt and putti and lace , but the older I get the more I appreciate clean lines and simplicity . I still on occasion drag home some fussy little number , old habits die hard , but less and less . Of course if I had the ROOM for it , id get rid of nothing !

I saw this post a few days ago Johnny, but haven't had time to show you this until now. I have a vase just like your's, and luckily it still has the sticker on the bottom. Just wanted to show you that I agree with the others, and it's always nice to have some proof, right!!:)
